Our Perfect President

Barack Obama is the least responsible President the United States has ever seen. I’m not talking about his reckless spending or his defective  healthcare plan, nor do I want to discuss his pitiful excuse for a “jobs bill”. Instead, I want to bring attention to the fact that our President, the leader of the free world, is completely deficient when it comes to taking responsibility for his own actions. Today is just another example of why Obama is unfit to hold the office that he was elected to 4 years ago.

Last month, the U.S. economy added a mere 69,000 jobs; thus, our unemployment rate rose to 8.2%. To any objective onlooker, a rise in unemployment is a bad sign. For the President, though, a rise in unemployment is yet another chance to blame others for his failures. According to the Obama administration, none of the economic problems that we face today are of Barack’s doing. 8.2% unemployment? That’s George Bush’s fault. Anemic economic growth? Blame Republicans in Congress for that one. And our $16 trillion national debt? That’s Bush’s fault too. Never in American history has a President been so unwilling accept the consequences of his actions.

I find it laughable that Obama believes himself to be completely devoid of blame for any of our economic problems. He’s in charge of the most powerful nation in the world, and he’s acting like a child, refusing to take responsibility for his mistakes and always blaming someone else for his problems. If he’s so proud of his “accomplishments”, then why doesn’t he talk about them? Why doesn’t he prove to us that the stimulus bill worked, or that Obamacare can survive for more than 10 years? Instead of admitting that these bills were mistakes, he blames others for their failure and escapes unharmed.

I’m sick and tired of hearing the President whine about how terrible George Bush is and how Republicans are the only reason we’re in this mess. George Bush didn’t sign away more than $5 trillion in debt; Obama did. George Bush didn’t abuse the legislative process to pass a healthcare bill that 60% of Americans didn’t want; Obama did. George Bush didn’t give Solyndra a $500 million loan only see the company go bankrupt; Obama did. It’s time for the President to act like an adult and take some responsibility for his actions. For my sake, and that of others, I hope he starts tomorrow.
